ew Delhi: Event Business Academy (EBA) has announced the launch of a brand new scholarship programme, ‘12 for 2012’, which offers 12 free places on their Event Essentials course in July and August. EEMA (Event & Entertainment Management Association) is delighted that through this partnership talented young people from India and around the world will have the opportunity to study and gain first-hand experience of the key sporting and cultural events taking place in the UK this summer.
Based at the Graduate Centre of Lincoln College (Oxford University), EBA offers unique hands-on courses in event management to educate and inspire the next generation of event professionals. Attracting participants from across the globe, EBA courses teach the principles and practice of excellent event management, as well as on-the-ground learning experiences at this year’s key events, including Wimbledon and the London 2012 Olympic Games.
In order to open up this expertise to a global audience and promote the scholarship programme, EBA has joined forces with key international stakeholders such as EEMA;VisitBritain, Britain’s national tourism agency; Eventia, the official trade body for the UK event industry; the Gulf Education & Training Exhibition (GETEX) in Dubai; leading Chinese marketing communications agency, ACROSSCHINA; and additional partners in USA, South Africa and Singapore. A judging panel of senior executives will make the scholarship awards based on the stated criteria.
